Let’s Talk About Stress

Have you ever felt impacted by stress in your life? This informative and supportive lecture is designed to educate and empower women and their support people about stress, its effects, and tools we can all use to navigate through it.
Led by Meaghan Lamothe, a Nurse Practitioner, and Maggie Jones, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, this program will provide a comprehensive overview of stress in the body; the physiological responses of the body to both acute and chronic stressors, the difference between short and long-term stress, and the effects of long-term stress.
We will then explore the impact of stress on mental and emotional well-being, and participants will learn how to manage stress using strategies focused on mind and body. Self-care will be defined, and ways to integrate self-care into daily life will be examined.
This series aims to foster a sense of community, provide accurate information, and equip women with the knowledge and resources to navigate the inevitable stresses of our lives with a comprehensive set of tools. This program is open to women of all ages.
