Planning an Insectary Garden

April 11 @ 11:00 am - 1:00 pm

Create a garden full of beauty and life that fosters health, connection, and supports a flourishing landscape and diverse natural communities. Planting an insectary garden helps us to balance our domesticated gardens with the wild spaces that surround them, working with, rather than against nature. By attracting and welcoming a variety of insects and other creatures (such as hummingbirds, butterflies, and amphibians) to the garden we can provide natural pest control, boost pollination for better yields, improve soil health, and reduce our reliance on harmful chemical pesticides. In this workshop you will learn how to make your garden a welcoming habitat by providing nesting sites, shelter and security, host plants for eggs and larvae, nectar plants, and water.

This program is free; space is limited and registration is required.

Registration opens February 1st.
