Nature Inspired Art–a FREE Children’s Art Camp
This year’s “Nature-Inspired Art Camp” is an opportunity for kids to connect to their natural environment. We will explore native and non-native plants, birds, and other creatures within the park. We will sharpen our artistic skills through a variety of exercises, techniques, and drawing and painting media. We hope this camp inspires a love for both nature and art as they relate to our own lives.
This free program will run four days, July 20-23, from 10am to Noon at Milbridge Commons Wellness Park. If there is inclement weather, we’ll meet in WHRL’s Thankful Room. Open to children ages 9-14.
Janie Snider, Camp Leader
Janie has been teaching art classes for nearly 30 years. Her work is inspired by the beauty of nature and Maine’s landscapes. Janie works primarily in watercolor and acrylics but loves playing with other media. She will offer individual guidance and share some of her own thoughts and techniques.
