Humble Cabbage, Hearty Meals

Come and celebrate the wide world of cabbage at this crunchy, delicious Harvest Table! Cabbage can be enjoyed in so many ways: raw, pickled, steamed, roasted, sauteed…the list goes on! Cabbage is inexpensive, versatile, nutritious, and keeps well in the fridge – a vegetable workhorse that is delicious to boot. Trade in your childhood memories of lackluster boiled cabbage for new ones at this Harvest Table! We will be exploring different cabbage salads/slaws like lightly pickled Salvadoran Curtido, Lizzie’s favorite vinegar coleslaw, and traditional mayo-based American coleslaw. We will also be making Pupusas to go with our bright cabbage salads, as well as Ethiopian cabbage (Atakilt Wat), and a light cabbage soup.
