Health and Cancer Screenings for Women: An informational program to empower decision-making

Note: This program is remote on Zoom
Open to anyone 18 and up for whom the word woman is a meaningful identity or lived experience.
Join Nurse Practitioner Mary Seterdahl for an informational session covering current guidelines for cervical, breast, colon, and lung cancer screenings, as well as bone density scans.
It can be overwhelming to consider all the different screenings and tests our medical provider recommends at our annual well visit or that we hear about in the media. This informational session will cover the current guidelines for cervical, breast, colon, and lung cancer screenings, as well as bone density scans. What do they tell us and not tell us? How are they done? At what age should I have a particular screening? What happens next if I have a positive result? Information is empowering, and the goal of this presentation is to provide accurate, up-to-date, clear information. There will be plenty of time at the end of each segment to answer participants’ questions.
