OWLette

An outdoor summer day camp for girls

OWLette is a summer day camp for girls ages 11 – 14, at Milbridge Commons Wellness Park.

Campers learn outdoor, naturalist and gardening skills in an inclusive, non-competitive environment.

Our 2025 camp is June 23 – 26. Camp begins at 9am and ends at 3pm; however, campers can arrive as early as 8 am and leave as late as 4 pm. An adult will be present at all times.

“My favorite part of OWLette was getting to be outside and getting to know more people!”

Campers receive outdoor gear that helps them embrace outdoor learning — during camp and beyond!

My daughter made some awesome friends, and loved the educational aspect of all the activities. Planting, gardening, and harvesting were also highlights!

My daughter really loved getting to know girls her age in the community and more about the plants in the garden.

Days 1 & 2

Days one and three will be located at Milbridge Commons Wellness Park. There, campers will get acquainted, learn animal and plant identification, play educational games, and work in the community gardens.

Day 3

Campers will leave the park for a day-long experience where they will learn about outdoor hygiene, hiking, trail etiquette, and Leave No Trace principles while making a positive ecological impact.

Day 4

Our final day will be back at the Milbridge Commons Wellness Park, centered around community impact. We’ll discuss climate change, citizen science, how to adapt and be resilient, how and why to give back to your community, and more

If you are looking for a co-ed outdoor camp or experience, please check out Maine Outdoor School, EdGE, and Washington County 4-H.
