Experience the magic that happens when creativity and the natural world come together at our four-day\, three-night women’s art retreat on Monhegan Island. \nAwaken your creative spirit and connect with your inner artist during this workshop\, set against the breathtaking backdrop of Monhegan Island. Rich in natural beauty and artistic heritage\, Monhegan is celebrated as one of the nation’s most historic and inspiring artist colonies. The island’s dramatic cliffs\, lush forests\, and iconic rocky shoreline have drawn artists\, writers\, and naturalists for generations. \nWhat makes you stop in your tracks while exploring the outdoors? This retreat is designed to help you discover your personal connection to nature by focusing on the natural forms around us as we explore island life. As a result\, you will create artwork that reflects an enhanced connection to nature. Being immersed in nature and art can be a powerful experience on a path to wellness. \nDaily painting sessions foster exploration and self-expression in a supportive\, judgment-free environment. This retreat is a safe space to discover your unique creative voice. More than just a painting workshop\, it’s an invitation to embark on a journey of self-discovery and wellness through art. \nEach day features an art-making session that includes painting and gelli printing\, a nature-inspired treasure hunt\, personal time for creativity\, writing\, exploration\, or relaxation\, and brief daily group reflections. Whether you crave solitude or connection\, both are easily accessible within this exceptional experience. By the end\, you’ll gain a deeper understanding of your creative process and leave with renewed artistic confidence. \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n Janie Snider\, Retreat Leader\nJanie has been teaching art classes for nearly 30 years.
