Join us for a relaxed paddling outing, offering opportunities to spot various wildlife, including beavers, river otters, muskrats, and many different birds. With a bit of luck, you might even catch a glimpse of a moose or bear! We will meet in Cherryfield and paddle upstream, making our return journey much easier. This is a flatwater paddling experience, and the current on this section of the river is usually minimal, so you likely won’t notice you’re paddling upstream.
Location: Cherryfield, Maine
Difficulty: Flatwater paddle
Gear: Canoes, paddles, and life jackets are available for the first six participants who need them; otherwise, please bring your own boats.
Space is limited, and registration is required!
Please let us know if gas prices prevent you from participating! Contact lizzie@whrl.org.
