Garlic Scapes Unleashed: Creative Cooking with Nature’s Green Twist

Join us for an exploration of garlic scapes. Scapes are the flowering stalks of garlic, and they are cut off mid-summer to promote bigger and better garlic bulb growth. Daisy enjoys being self-sufficient with her garlic supply and plants enough in her garden to last the whole year. This results in a garlic scape ‘problem’ for a few weeks of summer. The class will explore various scape recipes, from pesto to stir fry to salad dressings. She will also share some garlic scape ‘solutions’, recipes for preserving scapes so that they can be enjoyed throughout the year.
