A sound bath is an immersive, full-body listening experience that uses sound to create therapeutic and restorative relaxation to nurture your mind and body.
The experience begins with each person lying down or seated comfortably. You might use a blanket, pillow, and/or eye mask. After a few minutes of guided focus on the breath, the remainder of the session is filled with different sounds introduced in succession, bathing the body with sound vibration. You might hear drums, tuning forks, crystal or Tibetan singing bowls, or other instruments. Through this experience, you will discover the healing power of sound.
The soothing sounds slowly bring the body into a calm, meditative state, lowering the heart rate, respiratory rate, and blood pressure. People attending sound baths can experience reduced pain and less anxiety, tension, anger, and feelings of sadness, among many other benefits.
