We’d like to share with you a this opportunity to attend a community solutions forum – Invest in Tomorrow: Solving Child Poverty is Everyone’s Business. Individuals and organizations in Maine have joined forces to solve a problem that we all have a stake in at a critical time for our State.
You’ll hear from local experts and discuss what we can do today to improve the future for Maine kids, our community, and our economy. Together we will start to answer the following questions that demand our collective attention and action:
- What does child poverty look like in Washington and Hancock counties and in Maine?
- How does child poverty affect us today?
- What are some realistic, long-lasting solutions for the future?
Taking steps to create opportunity and reduce barriers to employment for Maine families will improve their lives and contribute to the strength of Maine’s communities and our economy.
